Flatworms
Name:
Flatworms
Pest Type:
Worms
Scientific Name:
Treatment:
Sixline wrasses, Leopard Wrasses, and Blue Velvet Nudibranchs eat flatworms. You can also siphon out as many flatworms as you can, then treat the tank with Sailfert’s Flatworm Exit. Siphon out the dead flatworms and do a large water change after each treatment, as flatworms release poisons as they die
Identification:
Very small, flat, red-brown worms that cover coral, rock, and glass
Prevention:
Maintaining low nutrient levels is the best prevention, as well as properly quarantining all new acquisitions before adding them to the tank
